Places to Go
To begin your tour of the city of Benidorm you can go to the Castle area, which is located in the Cerro del Canfali and parts the beach in two, from where the views of both beaches are spectacular. On the Mirador there are still remnants of what were the walls of the castle which defended the city from attacks by Algerian and Berber pirates in centuries XIV, XV and XVI. Culture
Tossal Iberian settlement of La Cala. It is located on the Avenida del Mediterráneo and it has more than 130 wax figures arranged in scenes: royalty, politicians, art, music, horror movies, cowboy town, sport and bulls. Among the most famous characters you can find Elvis, David Bisbal, Chaplin, Salvador Dalí, and so on. It is the only wax museum of Alicante and with Madrid Wax Museum there are the only two wax museums in Spain. An opportunity to enjoy these life-size sculptures made of wax. Agricultural Museum. The agricultural museum is a museum that aims to collect and display the history of Benidorm as farming and fishing village. Lead Soldiers Museum. A tradition of collecting that has its origins in games of tin soldiers. Summer Festivals. A special cultural program is prepared for the summer period in which they accommodate different types of events like music concerts of all styles, plays for both adults and children, which give the summer of Benidorm a special cultural interest.
Sports
Municipal sport facilities. Benidorm has a very full sports facilities where you can practice almost any sport. Foietes Municipal Complex has Track and Field, Olympic Swimming Pool, 3 sports courts, 4 tennis courts, fronton court, climbing wall, 2 grass football fields, Indoor sports court and hall Petanque. The Palau d'Esports L'Illa de Benidorm has 2 squash courts, fitness room, gym, 6 sports courts, indoor semi-Olympic pool, Valencia street ball, 4 paddle courts, 4 tennis courts and 1 outdoor sports court.
Beach-Voley / Beach-Soccer. If you want to play sports without losing hours of beach you can decide practice the typical summer sports like beach volleyball or beach football. Benidorm beaches are equipped with nets and goals for the practice of these sports in the summer. Besides the Benidorm local courses taught both sports during the summer to the kids.

This is a small club but with a great sporting achievements and has given many champions of Spain from different classes. So we can always count on any of the "technical" and "sailors" to advise us, if necessary.
Windsurfing. Temperate waters, winds and the cosmopolitan environment of the beaches, make the "windsurfers" stay like home. They have their meeting point in the area of Cala Poniente beach.
Skiing. This sport practice is easier thanks to the
Cable-Ski Benidorm, that is located at the end of the Levante Beach, in the Rincón de Loix. It is inexpensive, because being able to ski up to ten people at once makes it very economical. It isn't hard, its system of sliding exit ramp and other media make learning easy. Using a mechanical system of the skier towed aerial cable (similar to snow drags) the output is performed from a sliding platform and proceed along a rectangular circuit of 1 km, duly marked. In Benidorm there are 3 markets, the Foietes Market, facing the Polideportivo de Foietes, is the municipal street market takes place on Wednesdays from 8:00 am in the morning to 13:30h. The Mercadillo Pueblo (Village Market), located in Rincon de Loix, Avda Almirante Bernat de Sarrià. It takes place on Wednesdays and Sundays also between 8:00h to 13:30h. Altea. From the Punta of Mascarat and nestled in a bay, Altea is hollow, between sea and mountains, giving an almost symbolic image of the Costa Blanca.
